LA:

Social Studies:
Begin learning the countries of Europe. The first test, knowing the countries by region, needs to be passed by the end of September. The web-site used to practice and test is: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/European_Geography.htm
The level tested is Level 1, under "Countries".
Writing Workshop:
"Describing Action" Type 3. Focus Correction Areas: 1) Uses a slow-motion description of their action. 2) The writing includes descriptive phrases from 3 of the 5 senses. 3) Capitalization at the end of each sentence, and proper punctuation at the end.
Describe an action filled experience you've had (accident, etc.) in at least a one page description.
