Math:
Finished phase 1 of assessment. Daily assignments will begin next week.
Science:
The students have begun work with their "Bridge Construction" companies on a toothpick bridge contest, where they will apply skills in collaboration with a team, problem-solving and physics principles to build a truss bridge to hold as much weight as possible.
Bible:
We practiced using the steps we have discussed this week of studying the Bible for personal devotions. Students received Bible credit for taking notes and participation.
The steps are:
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to speak God's message for the day to you.
2. Read for pleasure, without measure.
3. Search for treasure.
4. Stop when you see it pop.
5. Pray and dig into the phrase/concept you stopped at.
6. Write down the phrase/concept that popped out to you, and the message God is giving you through that phrase/concept.
7. Write a note back to God in response to what He said to you through His word.
Next week we begin our Bible marking lesson on the "Great Controversy", and students need to have their Wide-Margin Bibles at school every day for class.
Have a great Labor Day weekend together!
